Webinar: Using AI to Support Living Collection Management – Today and Tomorrow

Artificial Intelligence is moving fast; for many, it is the great new thing, but for others, it is a serious cause for concern, especially on issues such as the environmental cost, data ownership, job loss and misinformation.

At the same time, some genuinely useful tools are now within reach of botanic gardens, often for the less glamorous work such as tidying records, matching names, reading old labels and accession books and finding the gaps in a dataset.

In this webinar we'll show what gardens can already do today, look at what may become possible tomorrow, and be honest about where these tools fall short or aren't worth the trouble. Our interest is in what is practical: what will help the collection and the conservation work behind it.
